Every day in the fall of 2008, Vocalo’s afternoon team (me, Robin Amer, and Luis Antonio Perez) kicked off our show with a “fight”: a debate inspired by a provocative piece of content uploaded to Vocalo.org or a compelling story from the week’s news.
We invited vocalo’s online community and listening audience—and guests with special expertise and strong points of view—to join and extend each day’s 30 to 60 minute “1 O’Clock Fight.”
The series was honored with an award for public-affairs programming from the Indiana Society of Professional Journalists. Go team! Here are a few of our greatest “hits.”
